PIRANHAS CELEBRATE ANOTHER GREAT SEASON

The 2023 Plaza Oaks Swim Team completed another successful summer swim season.
The Plaza Oaks Swim Team is a part of the Memorial Spring Branch Swim Conference (MSBSC), which comprises 13 neighborhood swim teams. At the MSBSC Meet of Champs your Piranhas finished in 2nd Place overall! It was a great showing!
The 2023 POC swim team consisted of 192 swimmers spanning from ages 4-18. This is our highest number ever!
32 of these swimmers were between the ages 13-18, which is an astounding number of older kids who continue to be a vital part of the Plaza Oaks community each summer. Of these older swimmers, many of them have been Piranhas since being in the 6 and under age group. Being a part of the Plaza Oaks Swim Team truly means being a "Piranha for Life!"
The camaraderie displayed between swimmers of all ages is one of the most amazing things to see at Plaza Oaks. The Piranhas welcomed many new half-lappers to swim team last year, to give us a combined total of 60 swimmers in the 6 and under age group. We hope these new swimmers will stick around until they are the “big kids”!
The success of the Plaza Oaks Swim Team is largely due to the many volunteers who step up each summer. A special thanks to all the parents that helped make practices, time trials, meets, and the team party run so smoothly.
Swim team is open for all children ages 4-18 as of May 1, 2024. The goal of MSBSC is to provide fun and fair competition for all involved. This is not a U.S.A. swim league. For more league information, please visit the MSBSC website.
Registration will be done strictly online.
We encourage you to forward the email to friends or family who were not on the team last year and would like to join as we are always looking for new Piranhas to join our team.
Texas Swim Shop will be at the pool to fit/sell team swimsuits, caps, goggles, etc.

Piranha parent volunteer sign ups will occur at a later date after registration is complete. Parents are required to sign up for at least 2 jobs per swimmer. The sign ups will be announced and opened to all current members after registration day.
In order to swim on the swim team, you must be a pool member in good standing and have registered and paid in full. Ages are based on May 1st, 2024.
Note: You are not eligible to swim in this league if you have trained on or competed for a USA swim team after March 3rd, 2024. Stroke clinics are okay.
**We will have to forfeit any meet where an ineligible swimmer participates!
